You've hunted the deadly King Bangalash. You've trekked across Nagrand to overcome Tusker, the queen of elekks. Now you can aim for the most prestigious prize of them all, the elusive Spectral Tiger.
Only the most courageous and successful adventurers can overcome the perils of Azeroth and Outland in the search for this beautiful and coveted animal.
To decide who is the bravest and most determined, we will be assessing your screenshots, taken in the very teeth of danger, the jaws of doom, the claws of death!
In partnership with Upper Deck Entertainment, Blizzard is holding a very special screenshot contest, alongside the Spectral Safari Beginners Tournament that will take place on March 1st in stores all over Europe and US (more information on Upper Deck's official website).
To participate in the Spectral Safari Screenshot Contest, the rules are quite simple, but the risks are great:
- Gather all your courage and snap a picture of your character in the middle of the most perilous and dangerous situation;
- Use the "Speech Bubble" option in the game to make your character say the secret password: "Safari" while taking the screenshot! Do not forget to use this keyword, or your participation won't be taken into account!
- Use all the elements you can to give some spice to your pictures: landscape, monsters, other players…
- Submit your screenshot here.
The winners will be announced on our website and will be notified by email so that they can claim their prizes. A whole range of rewards are there for the taking among the Onyxia Card Binders, Limited Edition playmats, Alliance/Horde Art Card Sets, Treasure chests or March of the Legion Starters, but only the most outstanding examples will receive the coveted
Spectral Tiger card.
In order to increase your chances of being picked as one of the winners, please keep the following items in mind when posing for and taking your the screenshots you intend to submit:
Unless the Interface is part of what you are trying to show off, please turn it off by pressing Alt + Z in the game. Edit (26/02/08): Since patch 2.3, the ability to disable the interface while keeping speech bubbles visible has been removed. In light of this, participants are encouraged to turn off add-ons while keeping the interface itself turned on.
- Remember to disable player and NPC names unless they are relevant to the screenshot.
- Turn up your graphics settings to the highest quality to ensure that your screenshot is the best it can be. You need only keep these settings while taking your screenshots.
- Screenshots that are heavily or obviously modified in a program such as Adobe Photoshop will not be accepted.
- Don't overcompress your submissions. Although all files must be in JPEG format and weight less than 2MB, beware overcompressing them.
And don't forget, you can have another chance to win a Spectral Tiger card or a Robotic Homing Chicken by entering the TCG Spectral Safari Beginners Tournament on the 1st March, check out the
Upper Deck Official Website for more information!
