What is the ELP?
The ELP is the European Language Pack. This is a package you can install that will allow you to switch between languages on one client.
How do I install the ELP?
To install the ELP, simply go to the ELP page and click on the language and system installer you want to download. Once the installer has finished downloading, just click on install.
Which ELP do I download?
You should download the ELP for the language you want to use. For example, if you are using a PC and have the English client installed but wish to have the option to switch to the French language too, you should download the FR ELP for PC.
Great. What happens when I patch, though? Are both language versions patched automatically?
Yes, all versions are patched at the same time.
How big is each language file in the ELP?
Each new language adds about 250 Mb to your World of Warcraft folder.
How do I switch my language after I have installed the ELP?
Before entering the game, start the launcher and click on the "Options" button. At the bottom of the page you can choose which language to use. Inside the game, if you go to the interface setting you can choose which language to use, but then you will need to restart the game for the change of language to occur.
Can I use the ELP with the Public Test Realm client?
No. The ELP is not designed yet to be used on the Public Test Realm. We may provide special ELPs for PTR in the future.
