World of Warcraft Pick-Up Line Contest Terms

Article 1: The Company Vivendi Universal Games International S.A., which head office is located in Velizy Villacoublay (78143), 32, avenue de l’Europe and operating under the commercial name of Blizzard is organizing a competition on the following website: www.wow-europe.com, from the 11th of February, 2006 to the 25th of February, 2006 (included).

Article 2: The competition is opened to anyone aged 15 or more residing in France, in Belgium, in the United Kingdom or in Luxemburg, or anyone aged 18 or more residing in Germany, Austria, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, or in Ireland, having subscribed to the World of Warcraft game, except Vivendi Universal Games International personnel and their family, affiliates or business partners.

Article 3: Entrants automatically accept the terms of this competition and acknowledge the fact that this game being French, the competition is governed by French law.

Article 4: Failure to observe the terms stated here will lead to the nullification of the participation.

Article 5: Only three (3) entries per household will be accepted (same name, same address) for each Set.

Article 6: Entrants have to connect to the website at http://www.wow-europe.com/contests/contestsubmit-text.html, and fill in the form, including their submission.

Article 7: Entries to the competition will have to be validated and sent online by each entrant within 3 days from the date of presentation of a new Set (on the 13th, 16th, 19th, 22nd and 25th, midnight). The cost of the telephone communication necessary to the entry will be refunded on written request sent to: Blizzard Europe, 32, avenue de l'Europe, Bât Energy 1, 78457 Vélizy-Villacoublay Cedex. The request should legibly bear mention of the competition, the first name, last name and details of the entrant asking for a refund. Communication will be paid back up to €0.50.

Article 8: Aim of the competition
Players have to submit the best pick-up line for one or both of the proposed Characters.
A jury composed of developers will decide the winners on grounds of creativity, humor, efficiency and appropriateness to the proposed Set.

The Contest will be divided in 5 periods of 3 days. At the beginning of each period (on the 11th, the 14th, the 17th, the 20th, and the 23rd of February), a Set of 2 new Characters (“Set”) will be proposed on the website. For each Set, entrants will have to submit their pick-up line before the beginning of the next Set, and before the end of the Contest for the last Set.

Article 9: 15 winners (1 for each Set per language -1x English language/1x French language/1x German language) will be chosen by the jury to win the following prize:

1 customized Apple iPod Nano 2 GB (approximate retail value: 223 €).

Article 10: The winners will be notified within 10 working days. The prizes will be sent to winners via normal mail at the address they give in the form.

Article 11: Resale of the prize is forbidden. No exchange of the prize worth against money, another prize, object or service different from a prize eventually won by an entrant will be accepted.

Article 12: The details of each entrant (name and e-mail address) will be transmitted by the Vivendi Universal Games International server, which will process the data. The data will be collected during the online subscription of each user on the www.wow-europe.com website according to the « Informatique et Libertés » law, of the 6th of January 1978 and its later amendments, and according to the European directive number 95/46/CE.

Each entrant grants Vivendi Universal Games International permission to use the information he is providing within the framework set by the « Informatique et Libertés » law of the 6th of January 1978. Each entrant benefits from the right to access and modify his personal data.

Article 13: In case of litigation, only tribunals in the country of physical residence of the head office of the organizing company will have jurisdiction.

Article 14: Responsibility
In case of circumstances outside Vivendi Universal Games International’s control, in a fortuitous case, or under exceptional circumstances (fire, flood, natural disaster, malevolent intrusion in the IT system, strike, jeopardize of the financial and technical viability of the competition etc.), even in the case of its own responsibility (subject to its good faith), Vivendi Universal Games International retains the right to cancel the whole or part of the competition. The present competition will be cancelled in case circumstances outside Vivendi Universal Games International’s control, without the entrants or winners being able to claim any form of compensation. Vivendi Universal Games International retains the right to exclude entry to the present competition any individual having cheated, deceived, faked or disturbed the operations stated in this terms. Vivendi Universal Games International retains the right to sue any individual having cheated, deceived, faked or disturbed the operations stated in this terms, or tried to do so. A winner having disturbed the competition in any of the ways described in the present terms will be rightfully denied the right to claim any prize. Any addition or amendment to these terms will be announced on the Internet. They will be considered appendices to the present terms. The full terms have been deposited at the office of Maître Venezia, huissier de justice (court officer) in Neuilly-sur-Seine. They are available on simple written request sent to the organizing company. The stamp will be refunded on simple request sent to the Consumer Service of Vivendi Universal Games International, legibly bearing mention of the competition, first name, last name and details of the addressee by joining his bank account details.

You hereby warrant and represent that (a) you own all rights to all contribution submitted by you; and (b) all such contribution are original works of authorship on your part and have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any other work and do not violate, misappropriate or infringe any copyright, trademark or other proprietary right of any other person or entity.

Article 10: 3 (three) winners will be chosen by the jury to win an Asus graphic card model 6800 GT (approximate retail value: 299€).
